Nation authority stays with Nations
FND can provide infrastructure, evidence and assurance. It does not decide who belongs to a Nation, who may speak for a Nation, or the extent of Country.
Integrity
FND is built to help people find the right businesses, Nations and pathways without replacing Nation authority. These principles guide what the platform publishes, verifies and protects.
FND can provide infrastructure, evidence and assurance. It does not decide who belongs to a Nation, who may speak for a Nation, or the extent of Country.
Verification and standing are based on evidence and controlled review pathways. A listing, payment or sponsorship does not create cultural authority.
People and Nations control what information is released through their profiles. Private identity, learning and contact information is not treated as public by default.
FND is designed around clear access controls, traceable changes and defined purposes for the information it holds.
Sponsorship, advertising and commercial relationships are kept separate from verification, endorsement and directory standing.
Public reference information should identify where it came from and distinguish reference data from Nation-authorised information.
Incorrect or outdated public information must be able to be challenged, corrected or withdrawn through an accountable process.
Where FND makes an assurance or administrative decision, the basis, status and responsible pathway should be clear to the people affected by it.
How this applies
Keeping those roles separate matters. A commercial relationship should not become verification. A course should not become cultural authority. Reference data should not become a claim about Country.
Businesses can be discovered without paid placement changing their standing. Public listings distinguish sourced records from FND-verified standing.
Public Nation information can begin with clearly labelled reference material, then move under Nation control as authorised representatives establish the profile.
FND manages evidence and assurance workflows. Nation-level endorsement or authority requires the appropriate Nation pathway.
The Academy records learning and competency. Completing a course does not create Nation authority, cultural authority or identity verification.
Support can fund infrastructure and programs, but it does not alter verification, endorsement, Nation authority or directory standing.
The verification and Nation pages show how these principles are applied in practice, including the difference between public reference information, FND verification and Nation-controlled decisions.
